AAii Level 2 (previously known as AMII Level 2) is an intermediate insurance qualification programme that is available in two routes: life or general insurance. It builds upon the foundational knowledge acquired in Level 1 and covers more specialized and complex topics such as insurance law, insurance business and economics, insurance marketing, insurance claims management, insurance underwriting management and life assurance.
Upon completion of AAii Level 2, individuals will be accorded the Senior Associate designation and digital badge.

Exemptions
MII Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):
The Asian Institute of Insurance allows application of exemption for AAii Level 1 as follows:
- Students with a recognised qualification in the relevant field will be given credit exemptions based on past results and portfolio review (where applicable).
- Please note that MII only processes exemption requests of students registered for AMII Level 1, AMII Level 2, AAii Level 1 & AAii Level 2.
- You are responsible to verify your learning and to submit the required information verifying your learning.
- Your non-MII or non-Aii examination or qualification must match the learning outcomes of a current AAii Level 1 subject syllabus.
- The assessment method of the non-MII or Non-Aii examination or qualification must be of a similar standard and scope to the MII examination unit / subject.
- Aii accepts applications only for fully completed and awarded qualifications. If you have partially completed qualifications, you will not be eligible for exemptions. However, if you who have passed some ‘relevant’ CII examination units/subjects, you can be considered for credit transfer. Refer MII-CII RPL below.
- Any other qualifications will be considered on a case-to-case basis.
- Aii’s Academic Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any application.

MII-CII Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):
The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) UK has extended their Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for applications dated between 1 January 2021 – 31 December 2023 in the CII Insurance qualification framework for The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) professional qualification programmes.

- Please refer to CII’s website for details on credit transfer fee.
- The award of credits in the CII’s qualification framework is a privilege and not a right, and awards can change over time as qualification frameworks evolve.
