What is the Asian Quality Business Award (AQBA)?
The Asian Quality Business Award recognizes and celebrates excellence in the life insurance industry across Asia. The award acknowledges 3 categories of outstanding performance by life insurance advisors and leaders. The eligibility revolves around the 13 and 25 month persistency rate, number of policies and first-year sum assured.
What is the qualifying criteria for the Asian Quality Business Award (AQBA)?
Do I need to meet the pre-requisite 13-month persistency Professional Award criteria to qualify for the 25-month persistency Master Award?
No, both awards are independent of each other. You can apply for either award, or both awards by submitting the required documents during registration.
Are the active Premium Holiday insurance policies counted in the persistency rate?
No, they are not.
Which are the blocks of business to be counted for AQBA 2025?
* If a company’s financial year differs from the above, the qualifying period may follow the company’s financial year.
Who can participate in the Asian Quality Business Award (AQBA)?
The AQBA is open to all licensed and practicing life insurance advisors and leaders from the Asian region. To qualify, you must:
- Meet the qualifying criteria
- Complete Verifying Letter and acknowledged by insurance company
- Complete the registration & payment

What do I receive by participating in AQBA & Recognition event physically?
All qualifiers will receive
- AQB Physical Trophy and Certificate

What is a Digital Badge, and what are the benefits?
The AQBA Digital Badge is verified and portable, representation of a skill or accomplishment. Each badge includes metadata detailing the issuing organization, criteria and evidence of the achievement. Qualifiers can use the digital badge in their email signature, business card, social media, etc.
How do I receive my Digital Badge, Certificate and Aii Membership?
All digital assets will be sent within 3 weeks after the registration closing date.
What is the Aii Membership and what are the benefits?
The Asian Institute of Insurance (Aii) individual Membership is an esteemed acknowledgement of your qualifications and dedication to excellence in the insurance sector. Membership benefits are tailored to support you throughout your professional journey in the insurance industry. Among the benefits:

How do I register for AQBA and Recognition event?
- Log-in to:
- Self-register and upload required documents
- Complete payment
- Receive confirmation email
Is there a deadline for registration and application?
Yes, registration opens from 1st April to 31st July 2025.
Do I need to qualify and renew my AQBA every year?
Yes, the annual application window is from April to July.
Can I attend the AQBA Recognition event without fulfilling the qualifying criteria?
Yes, you can purchase the Non-Qualifier ticket. Take note that you will not receive any award under this category.
Can I get a refund?
We understand that plans can change. However, due to the administrative costs associated with processing applications, refund cannot be issued for the AQBA once your registration and payment are confirmed.
